Coffee Mornings take place in our Greenhill Hall from 10 a.m. until noon on the second Saturday of every month. All are welcome to attend.
The Congregational Coffee Morning provides an opportunity for outreach into the community and a chance for members of the Old Parish to meet informally.
It also raises money to help other organizations both internal and external for example, supplying toys for the Church Crèche and materials for our Sunday School, providing finance for items such as new tables, and, on occasions, to respond to both local organizations and to major humanitarian appeals.
In the past the coffee morning has supported, Prostate Cancer UK Scotland, The Aleppo Refugee Crisis in 2017 and CrossReach’s The Mallard and The Garratt Projects which offer a range of services to children and young people with disabilities in 2018.
Apart from the friendly atmosphere at the Coffee Mornings, their success depends to a large extent on the volunteers who bake, serve, wash dishes and attend to door security. If you would like to contribute to the continuing success of our Coffee Mornings please contact a member of the committee.
Our Coffee Morning (and Church Hygiene) Committee members are Alison Bennet, Marjory Greig, Betty Paton and Sandra Stevens.
